Natural, refined
and soft: The origins
of cashmere

A soft, warm, natural textile obtained from
the undercoat of goats native to the Himalayas
that can survive at temperatures of -40°. Cashmere
is a unique, rare material. On average 100 grams can
be obtained from a Hircus goat – around a quarter of

Pinotti clothing items always comply with high-quality cashmere standards, since they are all 2- or 3-ply weaves
ELISABETTA Founder

Real cashmere is considered such exclusively if it is at least 2-ply, that is, knitted with two plies or more. A 2- or 3-ply item is more resistant and warmer than 1-ply cashmere.
CASHMERE PRODUCTION

An exquisite,
warm, natural weave

Compared to normal sheep’s wool, cashmere is warmer and more lightweight. What is more, it provides excellent thermal insulation, against both heat and the cold. Being both precious and soft, cashmere sweaters must be handwashed at a maximum temperature of 30°.
